String Musicians and Mentors in the Making

The University of South Carolina String Project is a community program that provides string lessons to the Columbia area. Taught by USC students studying music education, people of all ages have the opportunity to learn violin, viola, cello, and double bass. The USC String Project, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, has changed the lives of the students that teach at the program, as well as the students they teach. Students of the USC School of Music are allowed the opportunity to gain first hand teaching experience, cultivating an inspiring environment where creativity is encouraged and excellence is made.
